Is your wrought iron heavy?
Yes, compared to some products on the market that are made with tubing & sheet metal. Our pieces are real wrought iron. Approximate weight is listed on the item page. Mounting should be done by a professional.
How do I mount your products?
We provide the decorative pyramid head screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) in the matching finish. A professional handyman should not have a problem installing any of our pieces. There are many different types of wall anchors on the market depending on your wall type (drywall, wood, brick, etc.). Wall anchors are relatively cheap and are used to hang heavy decorative mirrors, art etc.
Why don't you furnish wall anchors?
Because there are many different types depending on the application (wall construction). Also, installers have personal preferences.
How long are the screws?
Both the #8's and 1/4 lag screws are 1 1/2" long. We do furnish 2" length with some of our larger coat racks that require the screws passing through thicker steel.
How do I install the 1/4" lag screws?
Use a 13mm open or box end wrench or a small crescent wrench. Be careful not to scratch the finish.
Can I change which type of screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) that come with my order?
Yes & no, depending on the series. Some series, such as Jackson Gate are furnished with 1/4" lag screws but can use #8 screws. Other series, such as Ballarat can only use the #8 screws. If you have preference, email us & we will let you know if it is possible. There is no charge for changing the screws.
Can I buy extra screws?
Yes, we will sell matching additional pyramid head screws to our customers only.
