Is your wrought iron heavy?
INSTALLATION & HARDWARE FAQ'S
Yes, compared to some products on the market that are made with tubing
& sheet metal. Our pieces are real wrought iron. Mounting should be
done by a professional (licensed contractor).
How do I mount your products?
We provide the decorative pyramid head screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) in the
matching finish. A professional (licensed contractor) should not have a problem
installing any of our pieces. There are many different types of wall
anchors on the market depending on your wall type (drywall, wood,
brick, etc.). Wall anchors are relatively cheap and are used to hang
heavy decorative mirrors, art etc.
1/4" Lag Screws:
How long are the screws?
- Wall Anchors: Anchors are provided as a convenience only and not
a recommendation. We have found they work in the most common
application (drywall). Drill size for pilot hole, 5/16". Do
not over tighten the screws. Your application and/or professions installer (licensed contractor) may
require a different type of anchor.
- Tools: To screw in the pyramid head lag screw, use a 13mm Open end wrench or a crescent wrench.
- Finish Protection: To protect the finish place tape on the flat
side of the tool that will face the wall mounting plate of the
fixture. During the final tightening, the tape will rub against
the mounting plate of the fixture. Do not over tighten the screws.
- Cobre Railroad Series: We furnish spacers to help center
the screw in the mounting hole.
- If you have any questions contact us anytime.
Both the #8's and 1/4 lag screws are 1 1/2" long. Shorter screws
are available for applications such as mounting to a solid wood door or
cabinet. Contact us at the time of your order to change the
Can I change which type of
screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) that come with my order?

Gate are furnished with 1/4" lag screws but can use #8 screws. Other
series, such as Ballarat can only use the #8 screws. If you have
preference, email us & we will let you know if it is possible.
There is no charge for changing the screws.
Can I buy extra screws?
