#Is your wrought iron heavy?
Yes, compared to some products on the market that are made with tubing & sheet metal. Our pieces are real wrought iron. Approximate weight is listed on the item page. Mounting should be done by a professional.
#How do I mount your products?
We provide the decorative pyramid head screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) in the matching finish. A professional handyman should not have a problem installing any of our pieces. There are many different types of wall anchors on the market depending on your wall type (drywall, wood, brick, etc.). Wall anchors are relatively cheap and are used to hang heavy decorative mirrors, art etc.
#Why don't you furnish wall anchors?
Because there are many different types depending on the application (wall construction). Also, installers have personal preferences.
#How long are the screws?
Both the #8's and 1/4 lag screws are 1 1/2" long. We do furnish 2" length with some of our larger coat racks that require the screws passing through thicker steel.
#How do I install the 1/4" lag screws?
Use a 13mm open or box end wrench or a small crescent wrench. Be careful not to scratch the finish.
#Can I change which type of screws (#8 or 1/4" lag) that come with my order?
Yes & no, depending on the series. Some series, such as Jackson Gate are furnished with 1/4" lag screws but can use #8 screws. Other series, such as Ballarat can only use the #8 screws. If you have preference, email us & we will let you know if it is possible. There is no charge for changing the screws.
#Can I buy extra screws?
Yes, we will sell matching additional pyramid head screws to our customers only.
#How can I judge the size of a piece?
Take a look at our compare pages. Our iron is large and can be overbearing in a small area. Series such as Calico and Ballarat II work better in smaller bathrooms. Jackson Gate is a lot less imposing than Eagle Mountain because of the smaller metal size. If you need more pictures, send us an email & we will forward additional photos.
#Can I get a custom length towel bar? How much will it cost?
Yes, since we build are towel bars, we can easily build to suit. Most series are only 15 dollars over the cost of the next length size. More complicated pieces such as Eagle Mountain, Jackson Gate and Delamar can run up to 50 dollars over the next size. Other customization such as double towel bars are quoted on a case by case basis. Custom items are not returnable. Allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery.
#What are the most popular colors?
"Blackened Bronze" and "Oil Rubbed Bronze" are the most popular colors.
#What if the color is wrong for me?
There is a restocking fee. We encourage our customers to order color plates of our finishes. If you return the plates and order $100 or more, it is a free service.
#Can I return a purchase?
Yes, there is a re-stocking fee 0f 20%. Please see our "Shipping/Returns" section for a complete returns and refunds policy explanation.
#Backorders, how are they handled?
We will contact you prior to processing your order if we are out of stock. We will let you know the shipping schedule.
#Can I find your products elsewhere?
Yes, some of our products are offered on Amazon & it's affiliates.
#Do you have a store front?
