Common of all companies to charge more to Alaska and Hawaii,
High Country Iron advertises free UPS shipping anywhere in the
continental united states. I began placing an order until I
realized once again the shipping charges to Alaska would make this a
prohibitive purchase. The unreasonable shipping totaling $97 was
as much as the very reasonably priced coat rack. I checked
the dimensions and weight of the coat racks and called the local
postmaster who quoted a cost of $20 to send two coat racks USPS parcel
post. I then called High Country Iron and shared my shipping
dilemma. For the first time in the 28 years I have lived
here was a company willing to hear the shipping frustrations we
Alaskans share! She not only was willing to send them to me
parcel post for $15 she immediately changed her website to read
discounted shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. I have received the
coat racks which are absolutely beautiful and of exceptional
quality.
High Country Iron truly cares about their customers.
Can’t say enough about how awesome they are. Word of mouth goes a
long way and High Country Iron is quickly gaining friends in
Alaska.
