NAMESAKE: The Ghost Town of Broken Hills
County of Mineral, Nevada
Founded by the prospectors, Joseph Arthur and James Stratford. It was productive from about 1913 to World War II. It was not a rich or wild town, only about $75,000 worth of ore was mined.
