Calico Coat Racks Common of all companies to charge more to Alaska and Hawaii, High Country Iron advertises free UPS shipping anywhere in the continental united states. I began placing an order until I realized once again the shipping charges to Alaska would make this a prohibitive purchase. The unreasonable shipping totaling $97 was as much as the very reasonably priced coat rack. I checked the dimensions and weight of the coat racks and called the local postmaster who quoted a cost of $20 to send two coat racks USPS parcel post. I then called High Country Iron and shared my shipping dilemma. For the first time in the 28 years I have lived here was a company willing to hear the shipping frustrations we Alaskans share! She not only was willing to send them to me parcel post for $15 she immediately changed her website to read discounted shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. I have received the coat racks which are absolutely beautiful and of exceptional quality. High Country Iron truly cares about their customers. Can’t say enough about how awesome they are.
